The Lads Without Labels merchandising was created as distinctive apparel which embodies the ideals of the club. Visualising the abstract concepts of Lads’ values proved to be a challenge. The illustration and words needed to be clear, engaging, and directly linked to the charities message. To do so, I produced eight different potential designs, before refining each one with the wider Lads without Labels community. The process of designing and refining for a ‘client’ was hugely rewarding, while allowing me to communicate with industry specialists and sharpen my illustration and typography skills.
